I now want to include research on the fictional and factual programmes that both ITV and Channel 5 offer. I am going to include the most popular shows in my research as I feel there will already be enough detail and knowledge that I can find so that I am able to use for my course.

Conclusion
Whilst doing my research on ITV, I have found that more of the time appeal to a higher aged audience that primarily are women. Moreover, I have found in my research that shows that include audiences and viewers as part of the shows ie. panel shows tend to be more popular than fictional shows.
On the other hand, Channel 5 tend to broadcast documentary and have a varied range to target a wider audience. Channel 5 also have a few selection of Crime Drama. However I am appealed to make a documentary as Channel 5 is more suited to it.
Overall, I am more interested in Channel 5 and what it has to offer because I feel that producing an audio-visual of a documentary would be best suited to Channel 5. This is because from my previous research on commissions Channel 5 is looking to broadcast documentaries.
